- Armadillo Art SquadThe South Austin Popular Culture Center features the artwork of the infamous “Armadillo Art Squad” dating from the 1960s to today. These artists have garnered international acclaim for their influence upon rock art in the 1970s and the contemporary Austin culture. They continue to producer art in a variety of mediums, including the quintessential Austin art form, the poster. Old and new works by these celebrities will be displayed on a permanent basis along with periodic displays, including the numerous notable contemporary Austin artists.
